Inorganic Chem

    Hi everyone,

I've been making a rough draft of my schedule for the next few semesters and I have not taken inorganic or organic chem yet. Is inorganic chem the same as general chem? I tried to find a syllabus from my school on the website to get an idea of what to expect but there are none available and I don't know anyone who has taken the class yet.

Does inorganic chem differ from general chem in anyway?

    Thanks in advance!

I'm not to sure about inorganic chem. The chem class I'm taking is gen chem, bio chem, and organic chem all in one semester. It's hard, but I'm getting an A somehow. I can tell you organic chem is HARD.

Think structure of molecules. Organic molecules of the body, and earth molecules like petroleum or other organic molecules. You will learn many of them, how they are structured and you will learn what conventions are in place to name them. There's really no math to speak of, but you will learn more of molecular geometry that was touched upon. We modeled them as well. If the professor is an organic chemist, you will likely be tasked to learning naming convention. Mine was a biochemist and chose to focus on stuff we needed to know as allied health students. Hope that helps.
