GRU MSN-CNL admission

Hello All,

I am applying to the Fall 2016 MSN-CNL program at the Athens campus in November. My undergraduate gpa was a 3.33. I haven't taken the GRE yet. My gpa for my core classes (Associate's Degree) was only a 3.17 and when I transferred schools to complete upper level classes for my bachelor's, I finished with a 3.79 gpa at that institution. I hope they will take that into consideration. I do not have any extra curricular activities, but I do have a few months of research experience with a publication in a neuroscience journal. Is there anything that you would recommend I do to make my application more competitive? I am considering taking a week course to become a certified phlebotomist. Also, do you have any study tips for the GRE and could someone please tell me what the interview is like and some of the questions they asked?

I just applied and interviewed in February for fall 2015. I don't think you need to be concerned about your GPA, they will take that into consideration and you can also write to any personal challenges you may have faced affecting academia in your essay. I personally think you could benefit by becoming certified as a CNA or volunteering in a hospital.

Fo the GRE, I purchased the Kaplan books and used them as study tools. I scored over 300 on the first attempt. I do feel I could have scored drastically better if I had taken a second attempt, but the test is very expensive and daunting. Good luck with your application and hope all goes well!

Thank you for your advice! I am going to shadow my NP for a few weeks and hope that helps. Could you tell me what some of the interview questions were? I'm terrible at interviews and would like to be as prepared as possible if I am invited for one.
