Belmont Accelerated Program--Questions about Admissions Process!

Hi Everyone,

I'm currently looking at ABSN programs for Spring 2011. Belmont in Nashville is my first choice right now, but I've got a few questions about the admissions process and how difficult it is to get in. I'd love to hear from anyone who has been through the program and who would be willing to help me out with a little friendly advice!

So, my grades are not that great--only a 3.45 from undergrad (I have a BS in Psych). I have an A in Bio, a B in Psychology, an A in Lifespan Dev., an A in Abnormal Psych, and only a C in College Algebra. I still need to take A&P and nutrition, and I hope to be finished with those in June (hopefully with As!), then I will apply.

I do have a Master's degree in Counseling as well, and I'm really hoping that that might make up a bit for the bad grades? Would that matter at all to the admissions team?

I was also wondering if I would need to get any letters of recommendation? The nursing website made it seem as if I didn't, but it seems like the university does require them. I can get these if I need to, but I'm currently living in Korea because I teach English here, so it might be a little difficult.

What's the deal with the religion courses that are required? How is the financial aid? And how did everyone like the program overall?
