by alotusforyou Jan 2I'm an American pre-nursing student. I recently found out that I'm a UK citizen, so I'm seriously considering a move to the UK after I get a BSN and work as a nurse in the US for a year (if I can find a nursing job in the UK).
My ultimate goal, however, is to become a nurse practitioner, and I'm leaning toward Psychiatry as a specialty (not sure if that is possible in the UK...)
I've read that Scottish residents get free college...if this is true, are there any NP programs in Scotland that would prepare me to work as a NP in both the UK and US? I would like to have dual citizenship and be able to work in either country if necessary.
Any advice on whether I should pursue this path or not?
