Hello All! I was looking into applying to both University of Nebraska Medical Center and SLU's online post-master's FNP programs. I have seen tons of stuff about SLU and applied a couple years ago with no experience and was rejected. So glad too...because after teaching myself, there's no way to prepare a nurse to be a NP without some type of bedside. Now I'm finishing my MS in Nursing Education, I want to go one more step for my FNP, but I never see any posts about grads that did the online post-masters certificate through UNMC. Anyone have information, trials, or tribulations to speak of for UNMC's program? How was faculty, hours for clinicals pretty standard for boards (500 for ANCC certification)? How many semesters to finish would you think since I have have advanced research, pathophysiom, pharm, assessment done?

I'm hoping this time around, I'll be more appealing as a candidate to either program, and since cost is close to the same, that isn't a factor for me. Seems as though you either do more classes and pay less or do less courses and pay more= the same thing in the end! :uhoh3:
