cost of living

Trying to figure out cost of living comparisons for different schools...many of the online calculators/tools give different info. Also thought of looking up housing rental costs on craigslist to get an idea, although I have no idea of what the places look like for that money...

this is another area I am looking at in weeding out schools-any help would be great. Did cost of living make a difference in your choice of schools??
