bread and butter?

probably a dumb question, but if someone would indulge me:

what are "bread and butter" cases, as they are called in crna job postings?

Bread & butter cases refer to easy, no-brainer cases. Mainly short anesthesia times with low risk patients. Think of outpatient elective type stuff such as plastics, tonsillectomies, lap-choles, etc.

Let me correct the above (it wouldn't let me edit). NO anesthesia case will ever be a no-brainer, just B&B cases are considered easy for the anesthetist.
