University of Rochester - ABPNN Fall 2013

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

Hi, just thought I'd start a thread for University of Rochester's ABPNN Fall 2013 applicants...

Hey ladies/everyone! Congrats on all the acceptances!! For those of us who are waitlisted **gnashing of teeth.....** would someone who has gotten their acceptance packet be so kind as to post what vaccinations are required? I want to get rolling on that especially since she-who-cannot-be-named recommended that I do so to be prepared and that's not something I want to guess about!! Thanks!!

We needed documentation of when we had our MMR done, as well as Hep B, tetorifice, a recent PPD test (one NOW and another three months after we've begun school), and an optional HPV vaccination. I don't have my paperwork on me since it's still at my doc's office. Hopefully someone can confirm this for you!

Hello you all,

Who might be up to share a 2 br apartment? I am currently look for a place to stay by Helen Wood Hall. Found a 2 br apartment right across street from Strong Hospital, on Crittenden Blvd, 900USD per month including water, heat, gas, and other maintenance. Supper convenient location!!! Downside is not furnished. (but that should not be too bad) Anyone who is interested let me know ASAP!!!

Thanks Nerm :)

grassysc I don't think you're supposed to advertise for roomies on here... annoying I know

I applied to the January 14 cohort, but got a call today saying the have an opening to start in september. Looks like I will be joining most of you in a few weeks!.

whoa, congrats bullberner13! come join the FB group now :)

I just sent a request to join FB page.looks like I am the only male so far at least on FB.

Hey guys I applied to the Fall 2013 cohort but was unfortunately offered a spot on the wait list. I was just wondering if anyone knew much about the wait-list? Are they still making decisions or do they pretty much have their Fall 2013 class? I am getting pretty tired of waiting :banghead: as its been so long! (I applied last November). I was accepted into a nursing program in Maine, so I will end up going there if I do not get off the wait list for U of R. I also need to start figuring out my living situation if I end up moving to Maine, and I feel like I am really cutting it close to the start date!

Any input/information would be really appreciated! :)

Hey there, at22mash. I'm not sure what the deal is with wait-listed candidates...but I do know that they're still notifying people. As you can see in previous that someone for the January 2014 spot had been offered a spot. And I know of someone being contacted on the 23rd-ish for admission. There will be sixty-two seats for the fall cohort. Maybe give someone a call or email at the SON??

Thanks nermface! Yeah, I will definitely give them a call tomorrow. :)

I got off the waitlist July 10th -- very pleased, but also feeling a bit panicked about getting everything done!! I HATE being or feeling unprepared... I think there is a possibility of being accepted off the waitlist all the way into the end of August!! I would suggest making sure your MMR and Tetorifice are up to date and that you get a physical done :) Good luck!
