Transferring Previous Grad Level Credits?

I am interested in a post-MSN AGNP Post Master's program. I hold an MSN in Nursing Administration, and I have a number of credits toward a AGNP DNP program that I did not complete due to a severe illness that caused me to withdraw.

I would like to start back and use the previously awarded credits (22 credits in total) from the program I was enrolled in (at the University of Arkansas). My issue is that I am having trouble finding schools that will accept more than 6 credit hours for transfer. Does anyone know of any programs accept any MSN level credits (such as pharmacology, health assessment, etc.) from another university?

I don't have experience in your exact situation, but when I was shopping for a BSN school, each school had a requirement of a minimum amount of hours you had to take (read: pay for). One school wanted me to take 48 undergraduate hours. I have a BS and an MA. I did NOT need 18 hours of electives!

I found a school that allowed me to transfer almost every thing so that I only had to take their minimum of 31 hours which were almost all nursing hours.

For my MSN, I am only having to take nursing classes and if I continue to my DNP, I will not have to take any elective course as i already have a masters. They are being good about giving me credit.

I hate that they won't work with you. I would try to find a program with the least amount of minimum required hours.
