Nursing Students Post Graduate

I just applied to the Entry Level Masters program for Azusa Pacificu University and the deadline was November 1st....has anyone received a phone call for an interview? They are very vague on when you might hear something so I just want to know if anyone has heard....I have a 4.0 in all my pre reqs and a 3.7 GPA on my previous bachelors...I have no volunteer work so im curious if im still competitive or what you guys have going in as well that have heard...I dont know if its going through the pile thing, or if they call the people they like the best first? Im trying to be patient but I just need to hear something!!

My husband is military and we are currently stationed in SD so this was the only program I applied for. I'm glad I got in because I will not be able to move anywhere else. Long story short I will not be moving.

Thanks for the response! Since you're in the area do you have any suggestions on decent areas to live in? Maybe close to school...

Id like to know too! Im moving in the summer

Hi everyone. I got a call a few days ago, follow by an email, that I have been admitted into their Fall 2013 San Diego ELM program! The email stated that a packet should arrive in the mail in the next 5-7 business days.

I am from San Diego and have always worried about moving to a new area that I am not familiar with. So I will try to write out as much as I can about areas I am familiar with around the campus. Feel free to message me if you have any questions. I will try my best to help you answer as much as I know.

Areas I grew up in and closest to campus:

-Mission Valley (which is where the school is located). There are a lot of nice apartments around the area and a pretty safe place to live in. Some parts of the area can get a little busy because there are two big Westfield Malls nearby.

- Linda Vista, which is about 5-10 min from the school. Cost to rent is a little cheaper in this area and is not too far from the campus. In my opinion, Linda Vista is an older community, and not as nice as Mission Valley. Some parts may not be so safe to walk around at night, so do be careful if you decide to rent around this area. It is safest to drive around to places.

-Balboa or Clairemont, which is about 10-15 min from the school. This area is more mellow, there are more families living in this area. It is a safer area to live in, but depending on which part, rent can be cheap or a little more pricy.

Again I hope this helps! Good Luck everyone!

I just applied to the spring 2014 program. How long did it take for anyone accepted to hear back from the university? The wait is killing me!

Has anyone heard back for the Azusa location fall 2013 ?

Hi Shamu12,

I was admitted for Fall 2013 for the Azusa location. I was accepted in early december and was offered a spot for Summer but decided to stick with fall. Good luck to all :)

Does anyone know if I didn't get into the fall cycle if I could apply for the following spring one without changing anything on my application, other than additional work experience?

Hi, I applied for Fall 2013 cohort but was accepted into the earlier cohort (the ELM Summer 2013 program at Azusa Campus) and had a couple of questions. Has anyone underwent this program? Did the program prepare you well and are the faculty/teachers/professors friendly? Thanks!

As far as I understand it you have to submit an entire new application...at least that is what I read on the website. Don't give up and good luck!

People who have been accepted into the Azusa Campus (main campus) ELM Program for 2013: Have you heard that classes are going to be held at Monrovia, CA (15-20 minute drive from Azusa, CA)? Apparently, they're trying to move there permanently or that's what one of the enrollment counselors told me. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks!

when i was in my interview she said they just roll the application over so you dont have to do it all over again, i guess the only thing is you would need to update as needed but thankfully you dont need to do the packet all over again!
