I just applied to the Entry Level Masters program for Azusa Pacificu University and the deadline was November 1st....has anyone received a phone call for an interview? They are very vague on when you might hear something so I just want to know if anyone has heard....I have a 4.0 in all my pre reqs and a 3.7 GPA on my previous bachelors...I have no volunteer work so im curious if im still competitive or what you guys have going in as well that have heard...I dont know if its going through the pile thing, or if they call the people they like the best first? Im trying to be patient but I just need to hear something!!

Lilyr,

sorry no i havent been accepted in...like other posters she said i had a good chance but if i say things like wanting summer cohort etc, im just saying assuming/hoping im in.

I have a 4.0 in my pre reqs and a 3.7 GPA in my original degree. I havent applied anywhere else, i put all my eggs in this basket but ill apply in january if i dont get in. Concordia has an accelerated BSN, its my second choice but the dealine isnt till february so im not going to stress over it, till i know from APU.

Id love to move to San Diego, ive always wanted to live there....fingers crossed!

Did you just apply to the San Diego campus? My gpa is similar to yours. What did you get your undergrad in and did you have any work/ volunteer hours? I just wonder how they pick 20 student from approx 300. Sounds like a hard job to me.

Yeah I applied to San Diego. my undergrad was aviation science and im a helicopter pilot. I dont have volunteer hours, i explained that i couldnt with school and work, otherwise i wouldnt be able to pay bills, or my grades would have suffered but im planning on volunteering over the next semester since ill have more time. I think it sounds worse (300 applicants) because if you think, there is 20 students per cohort, 3 cohorts a year and three schools, thats 180 applicants they accept. that helps out alot if my math is correct.

What about you, whats your undergrad in and do you have volunteer hours?

Sorry didn't mean to alarm anyone...just thought it would be helpful to know how many people apply, but I should've broke it down. 180 per year is not bad! I think we are all nervous about this, but I think every applicant is different and we all have something unique to offer. So I feel we all have a good shot ;)

I just got the call! Im accepted into their program!

I told her I wasn't expecting anything until january and she said they don't call unless they have an early session. They said i could start in May but im not sure if i should seeing my last pre req isnt done until mid May and i have to still move from OC to San Diego. I just had to let you all know! I cant wait for everyone else's positive answers!!

Wow congrats :)

Well I heard today that I got a accepted to the San Diego program... I submited my application November 1 2012 ...Anyone else hear ?

Congrats to all three of you! I'm just curious, are these for earlier cohort spots or fall 2013 (just San Diego?) :) thanks for your reply in advance!!!
