Apn And Fnp

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

HI! I was browsing around the websites of local hospitals in my area to see if they are hiring FNPs.One of them are in need in several different areas. I was just confused on a one of the job postings, when it asked for APN. the minimum reqs for consideration for the job was BSN,APN in Fnp, and something else. I thought that a NP was an advanced practicing nurse. I'm a nursing student by the way who is considering being a NP or CRNA.

Advanced practice nursing includes CRNA's, NP's, CNM's and the like, but once you get your degree and pass your NP certification, there's still a process in most states where you have to apply for recognition as an APN.
