U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Has anyone been accepted into the VU Alternate Sequence Nursing Pragram for Fall 2013?

Applied way before the march 1st deadline and have yet to hear back from them. I guess it's because I still have pre-req courses in progress still. But I'm freaking out.

I got my letter in the mail today!! I got accepted! :D

But, I did not receive an email :/

:edit: it's a $700 deposit by May 15

Thats so great! Classmates wooo! Congrats! By the way what pre req classes are you still taking?

Right now I'm taking Anatomy and Physiology II, Nutrition, Contemporary Moral Problems (Intro to Philosophy II), and Microbiology. What about you? I still have to take Statistics and the two Theology courses.

I was informed I just needed theology and philosophy which im going to register for in the upcoming summer 1.

Congrats to both of you! I got my acceptance letter today as well!Still have to find out which classes I need to take in additionally. Are you both taking the classes at Villanova?

Are you going to take them at villanova? I was planning to take them at DCCC. Cheaper. I went to the school of nursing and talked with Ms. Marie Paolucci. I believe she said you can take DCCC's theology course if they have one. But I would send her an email with the course descriptions and see if they'll transfer.

Congrats to you as well! I'm going to try and take the classes at the community college I'm at right now. It's a lot cheaper. I think in the letter it says what classes you still need to take.

I will be taking it at my community college as well, its a lot cheaper too but ill have to contact their office to make sure theyll transfer. Good luck everyone!

Hey everyone!

I'm hoping to apply to Villanova's alternate sequence BSN program and I was just wondering if any of you could tell me your GPA and what classes you completed before you applied? I'm searching for the info, but I'm sure actual accepted students could tell me more info! Thanks for your help!

List of courses that I took before applying:

Sciences: Intro to Biology I, Intro to Chemistry I & II both with labs, Anatomy and

Physiology I & II both with lab, Nutrition, and Microbiology

Math: Pre-Calculus, Introduction to Statistics (I have not take this course yet. Plan to

do so in Fall

Social Sciences: Intro to Philosophy I & II, World War II History, Intro to Sociology,

General Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and Abnormal Psychology, Intro to

World Religions (gotta take this in the fall as well)

Liberal Arts: Intro to English Writing I & II (equivalent), Intro to Spanish I & II, and

Intro to Piano I

My first semester of Freshman year I had a ~3.3 gpa coming from a private, liberal arts school. But I transferred to a community college and from then to now as an incoming first semester junior, I have a 3.56-3.67 gpa. I can't remember. I thought my personal statement was professional but still conveyed who I am as a person and what I wanted to learn from Villanova. I also volunteered at a close by hospital.

Good luck, EGM1!! Let me know if you have any more questions. :)

Hey Guys,

This question is addressed to those who will be starting the Alternate Sequence Program this Fall.

Did you know that we are required to take a Pre-Licensure Exam? I was not aware of this and found out when I was billed for it.

Has that been the case for everyone? And if so, do you know what the exam entails and when we will take it?
