PACU orientation- willing to relocate

Specialties PACU

I am a neuro icu nurse with 3yrs experience and have always been interested in PACU. I chose my ICU position based on great manager and great orientation, just ready for a new challenge. My husband and I are willing to move anywhere in the south currently residing in Memphis TN. I know a great orientation makes all the difference, there is such a steep learning curve. My current hospital has a poorly run PACU with a 1 month orientation and often leaves nurses alone with fresh hearts. Yikes!

Thanks for any help

Hi! Would you like to relocate on the deep South of Tx? We are currently short that we take lots of calls at this time. Still hoping they hire somebody to lessen our overtime. On calls mostly means staying late till all cases are done for the day, rarely being called back or in the wee hours of the morning. Also do cases on weekends-on call people come for it.

I had 3 months orientation but havent really encountered all cases and procedures that i am still learning everyday. Cases are from pedis to elderly.

We have a good teamwork and would commend you to come to our department, and we have a good winter weather too.:)
