A little background: I recently started working in the OR as a student nurse. I was very happy to get the position because I want to have a job in the OR after graduation, and as an accelerated student, our schedule is pretty much set for us and none of our course clinicals give us any OR experience in school.
Anyway, I'd like to pick up a textbook to give me some information on instruments and procedures, so I have more knowledge as I'm shadowing and orienting. I've read that Alexander's is a great OR book, but I see mentions of certain editions being better than others ... and that the newest edition isn't the favorite of some.
Can anyone give me any insight into which edition they feel is best and why? Thanks in advance for any help!
