hey jls0459. I was curious of what part of lewisville you live in. After meeting some people from orientation I realized I didnt find anyone remotely close to me.

I live near Main and Old Orchard. I found two girls from our clinical group that live relatively close (Flower Mound and Hickory Creek) and we are already talking about driving to school together and just rotating out who drives each week. Where are you living?

Also, my name is Jenna. It seems fit that you know my name - I think we are about to spend quite a bit of time together in a few days!

Hello guys I just stumbled across this site this morning,while I was trying to find the NCTC Fall ADN 2013. I attended the orientation yesterday and also did my CPR class, I was reading through the thread and it seems like I haven't got my blue card yet ...I don't know if I should be worried? Also I live near Justin road Lewisville and I am in Group 1 if any of you guys want to carpool together... also have you guys already bought the books? Sorry for joining in late and asking many questions..

As far as the books go, I went to the bookstore and just sucked it up and bought everything instead of online. Total cost was a little over $1200 for the books and "clicker".

I went in for my finger prints the day after we got our packet so if you went later, it may explain why you haven't received your card. They told me at the facility that I would have it back in 5 days, but it was realistically more like 2+ weeks. I bought my box of books about a week before orientation and the box is $1013. I bought the math book online last night, along with the care plan book and lab book, but I'm working with my mentor to find a drug book that will work best.

For the car pool, I'm meeting another group 1 student at the Corinth NCTC campus at 6:50 am on Monday. We figured it would be easier to meet at campus and drive up since everyone knows where it is, our cars will be safe and we don't have to worry about taking everyone home afterwards since we have to work some days after school. We talked a bit yesterday about trying to have little study sessions in the car on the way up and back since that is two hours a day that we will be together. You're welcome to join us if you want, just let me know so we don't leave without you!

Thanks a lot ladies for your replies, I am not as worried now about the blue card...I will be driving to Gainsville today to buy my box of books, just got done looking at the syllabus on angel page it seems like we have to get all that studying done before the class starts..and YES I would love to carpool with you guys thank you I am so glad I found this site :)

No problem! Also, I think Khor is of the male persuasion! :) I've already started reading, but I have to work in a few hours so I won't finish all five chapters today. I'm glad we are getting a group 1 carpool together because that drive will be a bit pricey after a while!

Jeanna I live at Legacy and 121. I usually take 380 over to denton then 288 around denton and 35 north but that is when I go alone. So, your meeting at the Corinth Campus the first day at 6:50am? I would love to meet you guys there if there is still room.

Just got back from Gainsville bought my books I can't wait to meet up with you guys and go to nursing school together ...and yes the drive up there from yesterday and today swallowed almost half a tank of gasoline in my car....so Yay for carpool !! I will be starting my studying session from tomorrow cause I still have to buy my shoes, pen, cuffs today....all right nice talking to you GUYS ....will keep you guys posted if anything comes up... :)
