I am an "Accepted Alternate" for Regis University

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I was just notified that I am an accepted alternate at Regis university for Fall 2009 BSN program. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about their waitlist, how long it is, if I have a good chance of getting in, and how long does it take for them to let you give you a definite yes or no answer. Any help would be appreciated. I was at a Jesuit school in West Virginia, just about to start my nursing clinicals when my mom suddenly passed away, so I am really wanting to get back into school and continue on with my dream, but don't want to have my hopes up if my chance is not likely!

If you don't mind me asking, what were your GPA, healthcare experience, etc? Did they give you a number for the alternate list?

I have a 3.8 in the nursing pre-req's and I have been volunteering at Children's hospital in patient rooms since leaving my prior nursing school back in December 2007.

Well! I called yesterday to see where I was on the list, and when they would start notifying people who were alternates of spaces opening up, and I got an e-mail yesterday saying I was offered a spot! I am incredibly excited, and nervous, for the journey ahead!
