Hello! I'm applying to Ga Highlands for the 2016 ASN program, and I was wondering if anybody knew anything about the points, and what everyone else is getting!

Hi! I am actually graduating from Highlands this May! I've heard that they have increased their cutoff/minimum amount of points for acceptance. When I was accepted, I believe I had around 1100 cumulatively, and I think that the minimum now is around 1000 (just from what I've heard) Also, I know now that they are requiring you to be a CNA before you get accepted. That is also something new. Here to answer any other questions you may have! Good Luck :)

Oh awesome! I have 1249 points as long as I make an A in micro, they said they'll have CNA classes available for us to take we just have to pay out of pocket! Thank you for your info!

I hope so! I've applied to Dalton state too, but I hear it is very hard to get in!

I am applying for Fall 2016 with a 1223 and my adviser seems confident. Last years cut off was 1144 and while she does believe it will rise, she doesn't foresee it going above 1200. The only thing I am worried about is what if more applicants than what they can accept has a score above 1200? Its getting real and I'm getting nervous!!

I think only 1 person is enrolled in the CNA class they are offering. Its Monday-Thursday 8:30 till 4:30 at Floyd campus. I'm starting my through a private company where i can do it in 3 weeks on May 3rd!

Does anyone know when we should hear a decision by? And also, what route the decision letter will come?

I think it's the end of June beginning of July, and just the normal mail.

Thank you! And as for the scoring worksheet, does anyone know how to calculate the SAT score when you already have a bachelors degree? It looks like you have to add it to your TEAs score for category 3 scoring so its throwing my number off a bit

I'm not sure I'm sorry, I actually got in at dalton's nursing program, so I've stopped worrying about Ga highlands, but good luck to you!

I've heard that it's an 1100 for SAT if you have a bachelors degree already but haven't confirmed that with an advisor. Have you had a nursing advisor figure your score? I'm still applying to Highlands only with a 1233.
