Nursing Students School Programs

Hey guys! Not sure if any one is on here, but did you all just receive the email from Julie in regards to orientation on Tuesday starting at 8:45 am?! Who is in Group B with me?! Can't wait to start the year with you all !!

Does anyone know if we should bring anything specific? Check/credit card for uniforms, or does it get added to our tuition bill?

Hey. I was interested in applying to aria son but I'm just beginning my prereqs now at ccp. Do you know what ones I need to be accepted and is it recommended to do all the extra prereqs first before starting at aria? Will it cut out some class time at penn? Also what are the days n times you have class during the week? Thanks

Hi!! I know you need some, but not all because they do offer some of the prereqs there. I would recommend taking A&P 1 and 2 outside of Aria because they group BOTH courses together and it is extremely difficult to manage classes with such an intensive course such as anatomy and physiology. Take intro to chemistry as well, and English 101 and 102 (reading and writing courses--verify with Julie Million). If you have the time, squeeze in Psych and Sociology to just get it out of the way, and Microbiology if you can. (Not sure when you plan on applying) This will cut down on your Penn State time, and also community colleges are typically a bit easier. I'm in micro now and wish I had taken it outside of school, but I'm thankful I took my anatomy and phsyio separately at my community college. Another thing--if you plan on taking nutrition at your community college (but its offered at Aria) MAKE SURE IT'S WITH A REGISTERED DIETICIAN or else youll have to retake it!! Again, all dependent on when you plan on coming to Aria, how much you're able to handle course-load wise while in nursing school, and if community college is the best option for you right now to knock out some of those prereqs.

I go to school Monday-Friday. This doesn't always happen...last semester I only went four days. Clinical is two day a week, which are my longest days. I really really LOVE Aria School of Nursing. Truly such a different and wonderful program with helpful teachers who want you to succeed. Your clinical experience at Aria SON will set you apart from any other graduating nurses in the area and when we're done with the program, you'll know your stuff :) Best of luck to you!! Let me know if you have any questions!!

Thanks so much! Yeah. I want to get most of my prereqs done at ccp before nursing courses. I work full time so it might be alot for me to do extra classes at the same time. I hope I can handle it. Do you know what times ur classes are mon thur fri?

Hey. I heard the admissions process is difficult to get in to aria son..do you kno what they wanted from u?

The admissions process is all online, but I would recommend having a good essay, doing well on the TEAS entrance exam, doing well in all your classes before starting ARIA, and getting all the requirements into Julie in a timely manner. Here are the requirements: Entrance Requirements

Hi. Have you taken cas 100 yet? I was wondering what that class is like and if their is a ccp class that I can take in place of it?
