Has anyone attended the 'high risk obstetrics' seminar?

There is a 'high risk obstetrics' seminar coming to town next week and I initially wanted to attend, but after reviewing the topics repeatedly, lol, I'm doubting if it will be work the $175 that it costs for the 8 hr class. Anyone been to this and can you give me some insight? Thanks.

If it is from PESI, some of my staff attended and they enjoyed it. The price is very reasonable for an all day seminar.

I prefer the Symposia Medicus courses myself. They are more expensive but I learned alot each time. Thinking about their Fetal Monitoring one in Las Vegas next year.

The Vegas national conference is one to go to. I have enjoyed it in the past, and went last year actually. The one thing I don't like is that they don't change up the content, so going to a couple can be a bit monotonous. Lisa Miller and David Miller are worth the trip though, and being in Vegas doensn't hurt either.

It might be too late for the one coming up next week, but if you go to PESI's website, there is often a position available to be teh "registration coordinator". You have to get there early, cover the registration table before the conference, sell any books they are offering, and then pack up and ship the extra stuff back at the end of the day. In return, you can attend the conference for $30. I've done this twice (once for high risk OB, once for breastfeeding), and I enjoyed it. You do miss a bit of the program, dealing with late registrants in the beginning, and getting the certificates ready at the end...but I found it to be worth it, for the drastically reduced rate.
