I need to do a competency course before I start

my new job (even with 8 years exp.!) can anyone

tell me of a course offered online or in the alabama/

tennessee/georgia area? Thanks. Sheri

AWHONN has them. Just had to do one myself. (and I have 6 years' experience----doesn't matter-- all us had to do this, even those with 20+ years).

Is there a certified instructor who can give this to you at the hospital? We actually have 2 where I work who taught this to the rest of us. Ask the manager where there may be FHM competency courses and when. He/she ought to know. GOOD LUCK!!!

Just about everywhere I've worked, require certification every 2 years, via some time of conference, yes even if you've had lots of experience, I personally thinks it's a good idea, terminology, and other things do change......and even tho you think you can reada strip like the back of your hand there's always those weird ones that really trip you up now and then.
