I am going to be taking the TEAS test November 2nd 2017. I am SO nervous. What if I fail? I just want to cry! Please give feedback & advice. I'm only 17 years old.

Thank you!

Attain confidence by learning about the test (format, time, location of testing center, etc.), studying as much as you possible can, taking lots of practice exams, and completing A&P, Microbio, and any other non-nursing courses before the exam if possible. I bought a study book, ATI TEAS Secrets by Mometrix off Amazon, and read it all, then took all the practice exams it provided. After each practice exam, I reviewed the questions I got wrong, and my scores improved from around an 80 to mid 90's by the last practice exam. On testing day I was still very nervous, but confident thanks to the practice exams. I finished the TEAS very, very quickly and only got one question wrong. I immediately knew what question it was, it was something like "what gland controls the adrenals?" and I thought HPA-axis and marked hypothalamus, ignoring the first part of the question.

Study, Practice Exams, and knowledge from prereqs will get you through. If not, study more and test again. You can do it!!!

PS - I took the TEAS when I was 32, you have pleeeenty of time to try again, and again, and again if necessary!

student_B is giving you good advice. I took the TEAS in Feb 2017 and I started nursing school this fall. I also used the Mometrix book from Amazon. Additionally, I purchased one of the official practice tests from the ATI website so I could run through an exam. I ended up with a score of 90 on my TEAS which I was very happy with. I found the official TEAS test I took to be easier than the practice tests I was taking to prepare. student_B is right-you have plenty of time if you don't pass the first time so just take the test without fear. Nursing school is going to be full of challenge after challenge and it takes getting used to. This is just the first step of many. Good luck!
