Hello everyone,

I am having a really hard time with med-surg IV. Most of our instructors questions are scenario and they confuse me sometimes. Does anyone know of a place where I can set sample med-surg questions or scenario questions or both? PLEASE HELP!! :rotfl:

I study for all my exams from an NCLEX review book. I can look up the topic in the index and study from there. It's great b/c you also get reasons why answers are right or wrong. I love studying that way! Good luck!

Lippincotts Review for NCLEX is an excellent resource. I highly recommend the CD rom that comes with it. The more of those NCLEX questions you do the more comfortable you will be. Good luck.

Hi...I'm also in med-surg this semester and one of the senior nursing students in our program recommended a book by Prentice-Hall. I bought the Med-Surg book and in it there are wonderful outlines on various disorders, priority nursing diagnoses, step by step interventions, scenario questions, and flagged parts telling you what is important on NCLEX. There is also a CD that comes with the book, as well as pre-test and post-test NCLEX style questions and case studies. There is also a website with the book for additional NCLEX questions and case studies. Everything comes with reviews and rationales for all of the answers - including case studies.

Since I got this book, my grades have skyrocketed and when I go in to take the tests, I feel like what the book says to be important has been what my teacher focused on, too.

If you want more info...go to www.prenhall.com/hogan

Hope this helps some!

Good luck!

Buy a NCLEX book. I have one by saunders. it is divided up by system. which is nice because that is how our lectures are setup. don't just get a book of review questions. my book does a good job of explaining things. so after lecture i go through the NCLEX book and highlight the review material that we went over in class. then i go through the questions. it is very helpful.
