I need good trauma shears, not just the small bandage scissors I already have. I work ED and need to cut through jeans, sweaters, sweatshirts, etc. My little ones cut fine, but my hands are tired after using them.

I also need eye protection because of all the stuff flying around at times... I've only come across 2 models of cheap plastic goggles at my local stores and they don't fit well (and are not flattering at all, which is more important!).

I tried online to find an EMS supply website, but haven't really found what I'm looking for.

Can you please recommend a good supply website if you have one and the brands you like in this equipment?

Thank you!

I have a pr of safety glasses I keep in my bag, but don't keep them near when at work. Tried to wear them on my head, but seemed to get uncomfortable and even hot after 12hrs. They also never stayed clean evn if being on my head. (The brand I think is AO safety, but not sure. I do like the Smith and Wesson Magnums, tho and they provide great protection.) As far as trauma shears, I have a pr of cheap $0.98 utility shears from BigLots that look exactly like the 7" trauma shears seen in ERs. Good prices on shears can be had on ebay, but Galls.com is a good EMS resource to check out

For shears, there is only one correct answer...

Suckers are big, too. Weigh about a pound (~400gm)

They can cut thru anything. Denim, leather, boots, bad attitudes, you name it.
