Clogs or sneakers?

I'm just wondering what everyone else prefers to wear. I love my clogs, my back pain went away after I switched to them. Are there any particular brands that you swear by?

I was a total Dansko groupie, I own 3 pair, and I wear my 'not work' ones with my jeans. I recently graduated from nursing school. (was a tech before) I discovered that in ICU as the nurse instead of the tech, I stand in one position more than I used to. I had to retire my dansko's for New Balance running shoes. My feet and back were screaming! Now I feel better. I hope to go back to the Dansko's eventually, but right now they are totally painful. They were great for 'long distance walking' floor nursing though. I wore a pair all through clinicals and senior preceptorship without a single twinge.:twocents:

I absolutely am addicted to my danskos. Once I made the switch, I have NEVER had any body aches whatsoever associated with being on my feet so much.

I recommend them to EVERYONE!

(plus, I just think it looks more professional verses sneakers, IMHO)

They do look way more professional. They are terrific, great looking shoes. However, I hope you wouldn't recommend them to me, because they totally started to kill my back ;)

My feet require a lot more tendering than they used to, but my Klogs and Thorlos socks go a long way toward getting me through 12 to 15 hours of continuous walking.

Six months in the unit and I was able to put my Dansko's back on! YAY!
