Trying to contact Saipan BON

Hello everyone!

I have my initial RN license (coming from the Philippines) in Saipan in 2005 but did not renew after I got my Florida license. Now I am applying to another State and needs verification regarding my first RN license. So I sent an application for Verification of License last August. Tracking from the UPS website, my application arrived Sept. 1, 2015. So I am hoping they have responded by now to my request for verification (I have enclosed $40 money order) but my application in another State is showing that they have not received the verification from Saipan yet.

Thus, I have been calling them almost daily at their phone number: 670.233.2263. But the phone just rings and and rings with nobody answering. I also read somewhere in the internet upon researching further about contacting the Commonwealth Health Center number, 670-234-8950 wherein the person who answered obligingly tried to connect me to the NMIBON but the phone remain unanswered. She even tried to connect me to their Head nurse but she was not helpful at all. I also tried sending them an email last week with no response as well. It is so frustrating as I have e-mailed other Board of Nursings to inquire about requirements and fees and I always get immediate response. Has anybody ever has success lately trying to contact the Saipan BON?

I would appreciate any help and input in trying to contact the Saipan BON. Thank you much!

I guess nobody has any success in trying to contact Saipan BON (or nobody from outside of Saipan contact them anymore?) from the lack of reponse I got to my post.

Anyways, I tried calling them again at 0915 their time today, but as usual, the phone just continued to ring without anybody responding. I also sent another e-mail this week, but of course, there has been no response. I am starting to get desperate as I need that license verification to be granted another license from the State that I got a new job from. I would be deeply indebted to the one who can help me with my trying situation

I've been trying to call and email them also to update my address and contact number. Unfortunately, no one answers. Any news about your problem? Did they answer you already?

Yes, I was able to finally get my verification processed after almost 2 months. They never answered a phone call nor responded to my e-mail. I was able to find a person in Saipan to follow up for me and it took him 3 weeks of constant calls and going to the SBON office before he can finally get it and he mailed it himself.

Apparently, there is only one person at the office. So when she has to be somewhere or when it rain hard (that's what my contact told me) there is nobody at the office, so basically, she/he works at her own leisure. I am also guessing that the person that has to sign all the paperwork probably just goes to the SBON office just once a month or less because for 3 weeks, my contact was being told that my verification was still 'for signature'.

I am sorry then that I cannot help you regarding an updated contact number. Hope you find a person to follow-up for you as well.

I am starting to get so mad with Saipan BON. After 2 months of waiting, expense and anxiety, they did not send the right verification that the NCBON is asking for!! Saipan BON is a member of Nursys, but my name is not on their list and NURSYS also did not respond to my inquiry 2 months ago. So I went ahead and applied for paper verification in Saipan which turned out to be a waste of time, effort and money. I just contacted NURSYS again and they are going to e-mail Saipan BON to include my name in their list of nurses who was licensed in Saipan. Just dealing with this problem in Saipan already took more than 2 months and that is with actively following up and not just waiting for things to happen. Now I am afraid that Saipan may not even respond to the NURSYS inquiry. What a mess!

I used to encourage people to apply to Saipan before. But with what I am going through right now, I would say: beware!

Actually they sent me an email before. They said that my application was approved. Then i replied to them that i need to update my contact information. No one replies. Tried calling so many times but still no one answers. 😞 Hopefully this would not affect on my part. I have no friends or relatives who can follow up my request. Now i am waiting for my att. What I registered in pearson vue is my new address.

You can do the license verification online. It's electronic

Yes, that is what I initially did. I am licensed in Florida and that is how I did it from there. But my information was missing from the NURSYS website and NURSYS did not respond to my request to update missing information despite applying twice. So I went the long route and do the paper verification after I did not get a response from the NURSYS. It was only after the NC Board of Nursing gave me their phone number and I was able to contact them directly through telephone that they acted upon my missing record update. And Halleluiah!!! Saipan responded to them within 3 days and shortly got my license!!!
