I am the publisher of a medical newspaper in Kentucky. We have a human resource supplement in July and are seeking comments (privacy will be protected - only initials and cities will be used to identify writers) on problems for nurses with violence in the workplace and also - why the nursing shortage? Are you stressed, overworked? bogged down with paperwork, understaffed? We will print your answers if appropriate but protect your privacy. Your chance to make a difference.

It might be more conductive to opening a discussion if you separated the issues in different postings. Using a more directed open-ended approach would be helpful as well.
What aspect are you addressing in Workplace Violence, daily events versus unique, physical versus mental, sources (patient, spouses, co-workers, strangers, mobbing, etc.),primary target versus secondary, treatment or follow up care, length of DAW (days away from work), STD, LTD. . . .?
Thanks a lot - appreciate the advice and will it a different way.
