I was just wondering if any one has received a response from SLMC GC about the schedule of PGNT1 for batch 2? I already have submitted my requirements and I have paid the initial training fee just recently but I haven't received any text message yet about the schedule of the training. I am just a bit worried because I received a call from a number I don't recognize on Friday about 5:30 AM and I wasn't able to answer it. SLMC told me that the training will probably start last Friday but then again I haven't received any text message from them. I hope the number is not theirs and that the training will start soon. :|

For the shifting, I believe it is normal so long as it is assigned to you. As I view shifting schedule in hospitals not just basically in SLMC. Usually, every week or every month depends on hospital policies.

hi guys..when we started, we were about 105, the largest number in Pgnt's history, so far..only 42 got in for the NSET. When we were already in our phase 3, the preceptors told us that our batch is for Manpooling purpose only so we should not expect anything... so here... it's either you take the risk of paying 10k for this training or find a more apt institution in which you should be trained in nursing process. In our batch, we were also put in Ancillary Dept. wherein you don't have any experiences to acquire. No Nursing procedures and the like... hope this open up your minds in what to expect.

I am somehow turned off to work at SLMC

Hi muse! From what batch are you? I just got a text from them this afternoon. I was shortlisted for Batch 9. Tentative date for training is September.

hi omgellieh!!:) nah! Actually 8+ out of 1++ passed the Phase 3. 45 got in for NSET automatically and the remaining were still waiting for vacancies. We just had our graduation last July. I'm not discouraging you, it's just i'm surprised that they told us that it's for manpooling only because most of the vacancies were already been filled up by batch 6. I don't know, they said more staff nurses were expected to resign because their 3 years bond will end this december.. I just don't know the real score about this. just a friendly reminder : it's REALLY THE ATTITUDE that counts :) do what your heart tells you and you'll never go wrong,. :)

I really do hope for the best most especially when finances are hard these days! Thanks for your thoughts muse :)

No biggie omgellieoh :) my apologies if you think i'm discouraging you.. i'm just a bit surprised that they will be having their batch 9 already.. Well, in our profession we really need to take risks and a big leap of faith.. Just do your best in your training. You'll have St. Luke's on your resume after the training, not bad eh'? plus the photo ops to post in your fb account if ever.. Wishin' you the best.. :)

Thanks muse. Yeah, that's why I'm contemplating because it is still St. Lukes. But if another better opportunity opens, i wouldn't be closing my doors. Thanks for the encouragement. I agree with you on the risks and leap of faith. For me, taking up nursing on the first place was a big risk since I opted to shift courses. I remember those times where I thought that I should be better off if I continued my first course. I guess being a nurse is just my calling.

Are there any other readers from Batch 9? :D

I went to St. Lukes last Thursday(Aug1) to pass my requirements. The HR only took my resume and board rating then they let me fill up their logsheet. Hoping to hear a call from them and be a part of batch 9

hi omgellieoh :) For some personal reasons and I can now clearly see that I'm having some senseless rants on my posts, I just opted to delete them... And also as not to discourage our colleagues and to ward off some negative vibes on this thread that I think I started (look, you're now thinking twice on whether to pursue the training) :) Just don't close your doors to other opportunities around. You're right, many of us sacrificed our previous work, training from other hospitals, and our vacation (hey, we're called to train at the peak of our vacation) just because.. It's St. Lukes Global.. :)) May F.Nightingale's spirit guide us all the way in our vocation and our calling.... :) Happy Weekend! ^__^

**Ignorance as you may want to call it, I just realized that I can't delete my posts... oh well.. is it just because i'm a newbie? Nevermind..

still hiring *******?when ******start next batch?
