Hi! Can anyone share information about hospitals in Metro Manila who are looking for nurse trainees at least before the end of this year? It'll be very helpful. Thanks! :)

hi maegs i'm also looking for hospital around metro manila for trainee nurse.. where are you from?

I'm from Las Pinas, you? Even there's a fee it's fine with me as long as they can train me and guarantee that they will absorb trainees who passed.

Try cardinal santos in san juan greenhills. Training fee costs 10k for three months.

Hi! I just got in at PGMC. If anyone is looking for a hospital that is currently hiring, it's worth a try! I submitted my resume last March and got a text this July that I was invited for an interview. I didn't expect it because it is a newly built hospital in QC. They recently opened a floor that's why they are hiring and I heard that they are opening another floor. I've been seeing lots of test takers. The exam and interview is relatively easy compare to The Medical City (which I find really difficult). I only have 6 months of experience but they still accepted me for their 15 days program (with decent allowance) and 2 months contract thereafter while on probationary. I think it is important to have at least 6 months of experience because I barely knew anyone who doesnt have an experience and got in. Good luck fellow nurses!

Try applying in Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center. A lot of staff nurses in CGH are going abroad so lately, the hiring is fast. Some were hired within a month of being a volunteer. But before you become a volunteer, you have to undergo 2 months of training. I think they'll be conducting the next training program next month.

For non-CGH graduates, you have to pay 8K(not sure) for the training. For CGH grads, they used to not pay anything for the training but starting this coming training program, I heard they have to pay 4k.

The training is for 2 months. Do your best during the program because they will grade your performances (didactic and clinical) and your grade will be their basis if they'll call you for volunteer.

The 1st week is lecture, they'll discuss about the hospital's policies and nursing skills. There's a post test abt everything lectured during the week so listen and take note what the lecturers are teaching. Next will be the 2 months training. 1 month in ward areas (2weeks MS, 1week OB, 1week Pedia) and another month in special areas (ER, ICU, CCU, Hemodialysis etc.). In every area, the head nurses will be your preceptor and they'll be the one who will grade you ( skills, attitude, also grooming). Every Friday is lecture day. They'll discuss about different skills and they will give quiz after the lecture. The quizzes will be part of the didactic grade. There is also a case presentation in the last day of training. You'll be divided into groups and present your case for 1 hour in front of the panel. The panel will be head nurses from different areas. This is also part of didactic exam.

For those interested in CGHMC training, here's the list of requirement:

-Curriculum Vitae

-2x2 picture white backgroud

-Diploma

-Transcript of records with RLE

-Board Rating and Certificate

-PRC ID license

-Certificate of good moral character

-Photocopy of Seminars and Training certificates

-IV Certificate and ID

-BLS and/or ACLS Training Certificate

-NBI clearance

-Photocopy of birth certificate

Pass these in Nursing Service Training office in 2nd Floor Main Bldg.

Goodluck!

Are your phone numbers updated? Try calling the nursing training office and ask them if you're included this upcoming batch.

Idk the exact date, but I just heard the training will start this month. Don't know if it's 13th or 30th(didn't hear it properly, sorry), maybe try contacting them soon.

During my batch we were supposed to start early July but we were only in 30s(the number of trainees is usually 50+) so they waited for more trainees to join our batch. The training started late July for us.
