hmmm... if you want quality nursing educatons.. actually there are lots of schools there offering quality education... of course you have to consider your location in choosing your school... im a graduate of de la salle-health sciences institute. my tuition fee when i was in 4th year college was 75 thousand but it already has increased. i think it's 80 thousand already but all the books, 1 pair of lecture and duty uniforms are inclusive plus if your duty is outside de la salle university medical center, you have no problem going there because there are school services.. when it comes to quality education thing, i can assure you that it can satisfy you. last June 2008 Board exam, we ranked 3rd on the Top Performing Nurisng schools in the Philippines. you can google it. other schools' tuition are like 50 thousand, but you still have to buy your books and other stuffs.. not so convinient.. well, i hope my suggestion helped you somehow.. you can still look at other schools..

In my school, the hghest tuition fee they charged us back in '06 was 22,000.
Out of 500 graduates, only 20 of us passed the board.

    Life is fair after all.

That is a very scary figure only .04% of a graduating class passing the board? Is that first time around? If all 500 took the boards and only 20 passed first time around, then what does that say about the nursing school? If only 300 took the board and only 20 passed then that's .06% of them passing the boards. That's totally unacceptable and should be looked at. Where's the quality of education?

It will cost around 60,000 for your last semester at MDC. One of the most expensive, I guess?

20 is actually 4% of 500, which, in any language, is an extremely dismal performance by any school, by any standard. This is clearly a case when one can't say "it's not about the school, it's about the student."

For if such were the line of reasoning each time, what's the point in paying the school tons of money in the first place?

The subject institution must be one of the schools that the Technical Committee wanted to close in 2005, before it was overruled by higher powers which resulted in the TC members resigning en masse.

    What a shame.......

Thank you for correcting me, .04 is 4% vs .4 would be 40%. Either way a performace like that wouldn't be accepted in the US and most other countrys that do have regulations. Schools like this shouldn't be allowed to sit for the NCLEX or any other national exam. But when it's money involved most don't care.

High fees do not necessarily guarantee quality (either in education or instructors)
