Our Respiratory department has gone through some changes and now the nurses will be expected to perform the NPPB treatments. Does anybody have a good education and competency validation for this subject?:uhoh3:

Intermitant positive pressure breathing? I have first hand knowledge of tis rx

but I need the 2 sets of letters confirmed by the one who sent it in.

Is the process achived using a pressure ventilator like a Bird or pr2 hooked up

to pipe containing meds and inhaled under pressure and nebulization to PT?

No it is for obstructive lung =emphsema restrictive ling disease=asthma

varoius heart condition especially where thr L ventrical has been compromised

also a must for patients c=C.F. babies c=B.P.D. and premies :)

exactly, most of the patients that these nurses will be giving them to are asthmatics
