Molding New grads and hires

I sit and listen to people complain about all the overtime and mandation we all are enduring in health care. All of us are working short, pulling a double by choice or not and every time we get a new nurse to train, not me let me add I will kiss their feet if necessary, anyway from day one the very nurses who are complaining are treating the new hire like crap or not training them at all since they are not new grads and so they are on their own to figure things out and even finding a band-aid can be a major deal when you don't know where to look. New grads should run and fast cause they are treated like burdensome idiots getting in their way. Now both scenarios make mandation and over time ending no closer to ending. Not all preceptors are like this and some are awesome so why the cannibal nurses even train I will never know and without new help be it experienced or brand new we are all gonna be burnt out soon with the bigger patient loads and higher acuity of patients. So if we all do manage to not make a mistake on a patient our body is gonna quit on us from lack of food or a drink I guess it does keep bathroom needs away since nothing went in! Be nice to new help remember we were all new at one time so treat people nicely and give them a great solid start so they may stay awhile.
