I know why there is a nurse shortage!!!

  1. Why, why why are hospitals phasing out the one on one human resource interviewing process? There are some large hospitals that acutally have NO human resource department and operate strictly online to screen for resumes and then interview at a hospital affiliate 30 miles away!!! I have walked into some hospitals and been told that I had to start the process online first. This is truly why these positions remain unfilled. The potential employee feels ousted from the get go. There are some great people out there wanting to get back to bedside nursing out there.....Just venting....

    If only it were that simple ...

    But I do agree with your general point. I hate the online application process and the dehumanization of the whole process. It certainly contributes to the problem.
