Does nursing programs/hospitals accept students/nurses with Hepatitis B?

I have two questions..

First one is.. Im taking Pre-req classes before applying to Nursing Program.. And If I have Hepatitis B and apply will I get rejected from them?

And my second question is

Does hospitals in Florida (or any other states) hire a RN with Hepatitis B?

If yes, which hospital? (Doesn't have to be in FL, it could be any hospitals in US)

This has been my major worry these days...

I haven't gone to hospitals to check if I have Hepatitis B or not.. but I have a great chance I do..

so before I go get my blood checked up at the hospital I want to make sure if hospitals hire RN with Hepatitis B or not..

I'm not sure they can refuse you based on that...when AIDS/HIV first came to the public awareness, there was a lot of stuff about a '+' healthcare worker- seems I remember that if there was no unusual risk of exposure, and some precautions were taken (which really should be in place with good technique), it wasn't something they could turn you down for.

Now, if you took a job where you were positive, knew there was a risk of infecting someone over the 'normal' risk in taking care of patients, and didn't tell your employer and someone got infected, THEN you'd be in trouble- but that's a lot of ifs. :)
