I would like to know is, are there any nurses out there, who have arthritis in there hands, and are stiil able to function and do the skills required of an LVN.

- Jun 19, '08 by aloha551Hi Msjam Looks like were both dealing with the same issues. I've been struggling with arthritis in my hands for years . Also 2 blown discs in my back Type 1 Diabetes and both knees need replaced but I still work. Sometimes I don't know how but I still do I laid off for a few years but missed it too much. There are a lot of Nurses out there who take more meds than their patients. I think it gives us a special level of empathy for the people we care for. Alohamsjam54 likes this.

I really want to thank you for your response. To find out that nursing can be accomplished inspite of this, is a welcoming relief. After reading some of the other treads, it seems like medical employees are not exempted from some of the same ailments that they treat their patients for.
