Nurses Recovery

Published

I know there have been many posts about finding work. My restrictions are no narcotics for one year and no home-health, home hospice, or traveling. Also must be supervised. My license is clear/active no discipline. In this economy it seems that companies are not even calling people back. Is anyone else having the problem of not even being called? I know it can't be my background since it will show up clear and I don't put it out there that I'm being monitored. Since my license has never been dealt with by the board I can freely say no to the questions relating to this without lying. Just curious

Don't give up. I understand you frustration. Once I was ready to start looking for a job was I scared and figured I wouldn't get one. The 1st week I started looking I put out 2 applications. About 4 days after I received an email from the one company basically saying to bad, so sad.. The following week I ended up getting a call from the other company. They wanted to give me an interview. I was shocked and scared all rolled into one. I went on the interview, I was totally up front, open and honest about everything. Upon leaving the interview I thanked them for their time (figuring I would never hear anything back). Well this past Monday I was offered a F/T RN job. This company totally understands everything I have been through and they are totally willing to work with me. In fact the lady at HR total me the one thing that helped sell me was my honesty and being up front about my past issues. I start my new job with a fresh beginning on the 24th.

So Please DON'T Give Up. You can PM me if you need someone to vent or just someone to talk with.

Thanks for the encouragement. i know my job will come along but man 3 months and nothing. Guess that's just life in recovery. I've been lucky though in other aspects. I have a supportive family. A technically clean license, no criminal history, and God has been providing me with everything I need. Just glad I have somewhere to vent
