We have a new nurse in the office, who seems to have a problem with being asked to do something , with out going in to great detail her attitude is unacceptable . When asked to do task if she thinks it is beneath her or too much work she gets defiant. The other day when she was told I wanted something done a certain way she replied she can kiss my A**. Meaning me. I have asked her on other occasions to do something and the reply was I'm not doing it if you want it done you do it. The last straw was when I asked her to start neb for a child being seen for a asthma attack her response was I'm going on break , and she had been at work a hour. I think I know now why she has had so many jobs in her career as a nurse. Talking to her gets nowhere time to let management deal with her.

Unfortunately paying back the money as not as simple as saying good bye here is the money back here is the guidelineA participant who breaches a commitment to serve in a fullā€time clinical practice will become liable to the United States for an amount equal to the sum of the following:(1) The amount of the loan repayments paid to the participant representing any period of obligated service not completed;(2) $7,500 multiplied by the number of months of obligated service not completed; AND(3) Interest on the above amounts at the maximum legal prevailing rate, as determined by theTreasurer of the United States, from the date of breach.I'm not concerned about a lawsuit I practice with inu scope of practice. My documentation is concise and I smart enough to know what I don't know and have no problem consulting other providers . I just don't consult the other provider in the office since I don't trust him. I've been told I'm a great provider too work with not only from The nurses but also administration has commented on it. Management informed me any more issues with this nurse and she will be gone as I was told they will let a nurse go rather than lose me . Personally I know had I ever pulled anything like that even one time when I worked in a clinic I would have been shown the door right then and there. Of course I always knew what was appropriate and what was not. I've been on vacation for a couple of weeks and it's my understanding there was a meeting while I was gone. For all I know she may no longer be there when I return. She was pretty upset when I left for vacation after she was confronted my me and management about her attitude. As far as the other provider he is not my supervising thank god and I just go in and care for my patients, do my job and CYA and have learned that being non confrontational gets aperson no where but frustrated. This good advice was given to me by one of the PA's over a lunch meeting we had one day. I can be assertive and nice at the same time. No need to be snarky when requesting that things be done according to my standards . I told the nurses before I left I want things done a certain why for 2 reasons first one was its about providing appropriate care, number 2 it was their license on the line if they failed to provide appropriate and I was not going too put my license and reputation on the line for them. That certainly got their attention. Sorry to be so long winded. Thanks for listening. Getting off my soapbox now and going to enjoy the weekend. You all do the same
