Do you mean in developing countries?
Many very fine organizations are in need of midwives- especially those with experience with difficult deliveries and also with teaching untrained personnel. They usually require a six month commitment, rather than 2 weeks.
As far as NICU? In a developing country???? I have taken care of babies who weighed 700 grams a birth- our treatment, a survival blanket and occasional oxygen by mask. (These babies wer eon the Pediatric ward that I supervised, as that was the "most" appropriate place for them in our set up. I don't think you will find a NICU type set up in most developing countries. (If they have a healthcare system that supports a NICU, they are not in need of volunteers)
Take a look at http://www.msf.org it should help to give you a good understanding of the situations and needs in developing countries.

I was wondering if anyone had any good organizations that volunteer overseas specifically dealing in NICU or with newborns. Thanks!
