Help! Grad School Project Ideas!

Hey everyone!

I am a NICU nurse, as well as a graduate student in a CNL program. I am completing my clinicals in the Fetal Diagnostic Center that is affiliated with the hospital I work for. For my BIG clinical project, I would like to work on some type of algorithm, protocol, pathway etc. for NICU nurses to refer to, when babies with known defects are born, with the most likely route for care being transfer to a hospital that does the surgery.

Do any of you have anything like this as a resource in your unit that is particularly helpful? Anything that you wish you had?? How do you communicate these pending deliveries, of babies with known defects between L&D or other units when necessary? I am kind of at a "writters block" for my project, and would appreciate any suggestions!
