Do all your hospitals do CRRT?

My hospital does not offer CRRT in any of our ICUs. It isn't that large of a facility (?300 beds) but I thought this was more or less a modern standard of available care. We have traditional dialysis and aquapheresis, but no CRRT.

Do any of your hospitals not do it, and if so, how do you get away with it (other than being too small to do it, and it would be a ship-out sort of a deal?)

It may depend on the type of ICU that you are in. A smaller, lower level ICU does not function the same way that a Level one does. I do not see it as witholding a treatment, I see it more as a type of hospital and each CRRT case is a case by case basis since it does not save every life. You see the same thing when it comes to equipment, lines, ventilatory procedures...I think it truly boils down to level of hospital.
