Interview for NA position in the Cardiac Telemetry Unit of Hospital

U.S.A. Michigan

Hello,

I recently applied for a part time Nurse Assistant Position in the Cardiac Telemetry Unit of our local hospital. I do not have any nursing experience under my belt at all so I was quite shocked to get the call back but I guess being a former 911 operator with some medical background helped? I don't know, I just know that I prayed and believed for God to open the door as this position on this floor is VERY dear to my heart! Anyway, to make a long story short... Last week I had an interview and was told the hiring manager would call me if interested for an onsite interview, well she called today!!! I am soooooooooo excited that I just can't stand it!! Could you please tell me what to expect with this next step and give any tips or pointers that you think may help me. I thank you in advanced!! Be blessed!

I think there are some threads on allnurses about this. I'd just be professional in dress and be prepared to answer questions about your reason for interest in the cardiac telemetry floor/hospital/nurse assisting. Also: firm handshake, make eye contact. Maybe think of a question or two in advance that you can ask when they inevitably say, "Do you have any questions for me?" It sounds like you made it past the first round of interviews -- congrats, that's an accomplishment these days!
