    Hello, no I don't have any RN experience. I recently graduated nursing school this past summer and took my State Boards at the end of October. My resume was a simple resume, I've only work at one place for 14 years so that was the only job on my resume. I use to think that working at my previous employment for so long would hinder me. But as a matter of fact, when I had my interview the manager said that she commended me for being so dedicated to my previous job. In my opinion, I believe that the resume will get you the interview, but once you have the interview you have to sell yourself and be honest. I have NEVER in my life had an interview before, and was extremely nervous and was asking everyone what do I say. I even had a mock interview with a family member. When it came down to it I just answered the questions honestly and I was myself.

    I will also be graduating from out of state, but would like to move back to Michigan. I am in an ADN program now, but will start the BSN program right away after that. I have some experience as an LPN and have a degree in an unrelated area. How is the market for new grad RNs in Michigan? Does the DMC hire new grads? I keep looking at their postings and they say 1 year experience

    I actually graduated from another country...I've been looking for a job for 2 months now and just one call from Harper and I'm not even sure if I got the job still waiting for a call from HR...

    Did you do a phone interview or were you in Michigan? Im wonderi how to navigate this whole thing. I want to move back after I finish in April but it would be better to have a job. I will have just under a year as a corrections lpn and an ADN and an unrelated bachelor's degree.

    I just move here in Michigan...My only work experience is nurse assistant for 10 months.... I got an offer for home care buy Im still thinking about it are you interested?? I'm gonna send you the name of the home Care they accept new graduate...

    I was hired in 2012 and did have to take the assessment also. I was told that they are looking for someone who is compatible for every floor that you are applying for. I would just answer honestly if I was you.
