I just graduated and finally over the summer I got an job and now I'll be starting and training. Any encouragement and things to do to make sure I'm having a good start?

99 percent of the Long-term Care facilities you work in are going to be OVENS. Obviously due to the thin blood seniors have. I've had residents say they were cold when it was 90 degrees outside and likely more than that in the room.

I always take a shower before I leave for work, and after I get home, the last one to wipe the schmutz off after a long day. You need the second one, you are going to feel like a urinal cake after the day is over.

I find it a very rewarding business, though. I've always liked working with seniors because they've seen so much.

I'll be taking care of my pre-requisites for nursing school, then transferring to get my RN-BSN after that (the pre-reqs should probably take a year or so).

I'm a CNA working for 2 years and graduated in May 2008. Working as a CNA is wonderful and once you realized that you enjoy it so much, you start to pursuit higher
