I will be interviewing for a Primary Health Clinic tomorrow. I am really hoping to get the job but I have no med-surg experience. I went straight into L&D after graduation. Don't get me wrong! I love L&D but I need a better foundation to stand on. What types of interview questions should I prepare for? I know I did myself some diservice by going straight to a specialty which is why I am backtracking at this point. I would greatly appreciate some advice before 11am tomorrow

What is your greatest weakness?

Why should we hire you?

Do you have any questions for me?

Can you describe your biggest failure? What did you learn?

Can you tell me a little about yourself?

Why do you want to work for us?

When were you most satisfied with your job?

What did I like least about my job/school?What motivates me?

How would your friends describe you?

Where do you see yourself in five years?

If you saw someone do something unsafe, what would you do?

Have you mad a decision that turned out to be a mistake? How did you handle it?

When your workload got pressured or busy, how did you handle it?

How would you deal with a client complaint?

When did you act as an advocate for your patient?

All good questions. Another I would add is "How would you handle conflict with your boss?" Congrats and let us know how things go!

I want to do L&D when I graduate. That is all I have ever wanted to do since I was little, and now I have had 4 babies of my own.

Can I ask why you say "I love L&D but I need a better foundation to stand on."?
