I am asking this because I received 2 different answers from my RAI director.

If a resident has a healed stage 1, do we still mark it as healed under "M0900" even though there is no option to check stage 1 below that section. Also, I know we don't measure our stage 1's and that is why I get confused when they are healed.

    Sorry for the stupid question.

m0300a: number of stage 1 pressure ulcers (cont.)
    coding tips
    • if a resident had a pressure ulcer on the last assessment and it is now healed, complete
    healed pressure ulcers item (m0900).

    hence, code m0900a = yes
    then m0900 b c d = 0

a document of stage/description and location is sufficient.
