PCT positions @ Mercy or Baystate...can you tell me about them?

I am a nursing student and was considering applying for a job at the end of the semester to get some more experience. Mercy seems to offer more PCT(personal care tech) jobs than Baystate but I am not familiar with Mercy at all.

If anyone is familiar with Mercy, PCT pay rates, etc. Some jobs list specific floors/units others say floating. I am inclinded to think that floating would be better(??) to get experience in different areas but I could be wrong. I would want a per diem position so that I could drop my hours during the semester, so if anyone knows what Mercy requires for a minimum number of hours I would appreciate it. I know this exact job will be filled but I see this type on their site all the time. I would love the feedback the actual job listing is as follows:

Responsible for completing a variety of activities and tasks comprising the care of patients and their families. This role is a member of a designated care team functioning under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. The PCT is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives and policies of the department and the hospital. Assists patients with activities of daily living. Performs and records in patients' charts, basic nursing care procedures such as collecting routine specimens, taking V.S., intake and outpatient and weight, assisting with nutritional needs. Performs various duties involved in the care of the patient with dressings, some diagnostic testing, etc. Requires High School diploma or GED. CPR certification. Must be a graduate of CNA program or possess recent experience as a nurse assistant, orderly or clinical experience as student nurse. PCT experience preferred. Acute care experience preferred. Positive attitude and communication skills a must!

lol... patient care not personal care - no idea where my mind was!
