CMMC Maine Current students or hopefuls?

Hi! I have just finished my application to CMMC school of nursing in Lewiston, ME. I am just wondering if there are any other 2011 applicants or even current students out there, hoping we could talk. Current applicants, just wondering what you did for your essay, what you felt about the Kaplan test, and how you feel about your chances this year.. current students, can you tell us about your experience getting in? Did it take more than one try? How is the program so far? Thanks!! Hope to find you guys out there!

yep, here they are sticklers...I did the same. do you know what books we need yet Congratulations, I hear the competition was really tough this past year.

I have been keeping on top of things like nobody's business and there definitely hasn't been any information on books yet. I am guessing they will let us know when it is way closer. Right now we still have like 5 months before starting Fall semester so who knows if they even know what books they are using yet lol. I am sure they will be sending out more information/paperwork soon to update everyone on what to expect next. And yes the competition was really crazy this year, they kept adding more Kaplan test dates.. I believe there were over 300 applicants for 60-80 seats. Nuts!! Congrats to you for being a chosen one! :D

LOL....thanks for the info.....do you have your prereqs done ..... Im finishing pharmacology now.... goal is to only have nursing classes to do.... wishing you the best and look forward to meeting you.

I don't have all of my pre reqs , but this summer I am doing A&P 1&2 back to back at USM, and Dev. Psych online. then the only two I will have left are pharmacology and microbiology which I will be taking next summer at CMMC. The rest of my pre reqs are finished. So I will be taking only nursing courses during the fall/spring semesters.

Good for you.. i took my a&p 1 and 2 at USM...good course....think having those under our belts will make it a bit easier for us in the fall...hear the nursing course just by itself is a bear. Do you have CNA experience? Heard that helps as well. Have a grand weekend !

Thanks! If you were a freshman again (God forbid) what are the things you would do differentl in terms of school? Are the instructors as hard assed as I've heard?
