LPN at ECPI?

Nursing Students LPN-RN

Published

Hi all,

I just got into the LPN program at ecpi in Richmond West End. Is it true the LPN degrees are "terminal?" Does

that mean I can't do an LPN to RN program later? I want to get my LPN now so I can start working and work during my time trying to get my RN.

Anything else to say about the LPN program at ECPI?

LPN's are not terminal. Hospitals are not going to be employing as many of them as they have in the past however, with that stated there are other places to work as LPN's including, clinics, Dr's offices and sameday patient surgery locations. There are hospitals however that will hire LPN's from ECPI and they will pay for them to go back to school for their RN as long as they work for them. I hope this bit of information is helpful to you! Have a great day and good luck!

That was very helpful for me b/c I start at ECPI for LPN 12/09...and that's exactly what I want...to get a job in the hospital so that they can pay for me to further my education, and being that that's where I would love to work anyway...staying to work for them would be a bonus...Did u graduate from ECPI??? What hospitals would hire ECPI gradutes...the ones that u normally do ur clinicals??? I have more ?'s but these are good for now...oh yeh...do u know what they normally start off ECPI graduates at these hospitals???
