Hello to all,
The WIA program is a goverment agency that assistists those who qualify with tution for career training. In my county they have in the past paid for you to attend a technical school for the LPN program.
I have sadly been informed that they will no longer pay for the LPN program. They have based this information on analysis conducted that state by 2014 the demand and need for LPN will no longer be available. As we have all heard it will be the RN that is in great demand.
My sadness doesn't come from the fact that I won't get my class paid for but many other factors. Such as, I have been very optimistic when hearing that the LPN will go away. Optimistic, because even now, don't think it will competely disappear but maybe many others ill be available to take on your job. Maybe the only option I will have is nursing homes, which would be fine with me for a while but I would like options.
My goal is to enter this medical field step by step. Wor for awhile and then return for RN if I desire. But, at this point many maybe forced into the RN if they want to keep there jobs or progress.
I still anticipate entering and completeing the LPN program because this is the best option for me. But I am aware it maybe in my best option to procede to RN quicker than I had anticipated doing so.
Thanks in advance to all whom read and make any comments!
