Hello dear allnurses readers!!

I hope this finds you well.

In April I found out I was accepted to a local LPN School that only accepts 25 students per year. Boy was I excited. The NET was over, my recommendation letters were in, my application completed, and I was in!! I went to a meeting at the school in late May and received my self study Anatomy and Physiology and Medical Terminology books, so I could review them this summer. I have completed all my Med Term study guides and have 6-7 A/P study guides to go. I have TONS of chapter tests to do but that is administered at the school over the course of the first 14 weeks. Of course, I have to get at least a 75 or above in both subjects or I get kicked from the program, but all of this will happen in due time. Formal classes begin Monday. I went on Tuesday and met the teachers, picked up the rest of my books, signed over my life to Financial Aid, and received a tentative schedule. I was told I would get alot more info on Monday!! I can't wait!! I am getting very excited. My 2 year old started daycare on Tuesday of this week...kind of easing him into it. So far, so good. I have been checking things off my list of things that need to be done before school starts. I hear it can be a bit overwhelming at first. I hope I fly through and learn tons of great information. If all goes well, in 11 months, I will be a nurse!! Woo hoo!!
